Texas Moonshine...another book review

It seems like ages since I've posted that I actually finished a book; very unlike me!  At one point over the past two months, I had four books going and that was a bit much.  I put all of them down except for my reading the Bible in a year Bible and Texas Moonshine by Holly L. Morris.  This book was really an enjoyable read.  There are too many characters to tell you that it's about just one, but rather it's more appropriate to say that it is about the small, fictional town of Parkerville, Texas.   It had it all...humor, wit, romance, mystery and suspense; what more could you ask!  The fact that it is Christian fiction made it even better!  I really enjoyed getting to know the characters of this small town and look forward to reading the second book in the series when it's available.
It's available on Amazon and I don't believe you'll be disappointed!

Happy Reading,
Mandy

  1. Sounds like a good one! I came upon a book my sweet DIL sent me from Louisiana for my birthday last year. It is Christian fiction. The title is Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers. Have you read it? It says on the back cover that it is a retelling of the book of Hosea, a life changing story of God's unconditional, redemptive, all-consuming love. It sounds really good...I will start it soon, I hope!!!

  2. Julie, you will love, love, love Redeeming Love!! It is an absolutely wonderful book and one of my all time favorites. I loaned my copy out and never got it back, or I'd go pick it up to read it again. You'll have to let me know how you like it. Do you get these messages when I post it back on my blog post? I'm not so sure, so I'll email you. Let me know, will you...I wonder when I put a comment back, so it would be nice to know. Thanks!

  3. I have to agree with Mandy, the Redeeming Love is an awesome read. If you enjoy this one, you need to find her other books. My favorite one was "Leota's Garden".

Mandy, you did not tell me about this book. Now I will have to go on Amazon or Paperback Swap and find it. It isn't one that you got on your kindle, is it?
