Cupcakes and Murder

Just finished another fun mystery today while I was stuck on the couch.  This is the first one I've read by Jenn McKinlay, and it's the first in her A Cupcake Bakery Series called Sprinke with Murder.  Loved it!

Two long time friends own and work together in a bakery that caters to nothing but cupcakes...yummy!  When one of their friend's fiance ends up dead, Mel becomes the first choice for the suspect.  It doesn't take the friends long to take matters into their own hands to find the killer.  This was an enjoyably entertaining read, and I'm looking forward to the next one coming out!

  1. This book sounds really fun! It makes me think of a mystery series I started reading many years Susan Wittig Albert. I read the first one called Thyme of Death, and also one with Bloodroot in the title. They are about an ex-attorney who moves to a small southern town and opens an herbal shop, but she gets involved in all these murder mysteries. They are cute books too! They have names of herbs in the titles!!!

  2. I'm going to look for those. There's another series by Laura Childs that you might like...can't remember the titles, but I think they're Tea Shop Mysteries. One of them is Death by Darjiling (or however you spell that)...I've really enjoyed them.
